A Crazy story for love

Cops: Man tries to run down woman after wedding proposal

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A California man has been accused of trying to run down his ex-girlfriend in a car after she refused his wedding proposal.

The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that Francisco Hernandez was spotted carrying a bouquet of flowers while walking down the street after the incident.

Sheriff's Lt. Andrew Berg says the 22-year-old was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

The proposal took place Thursday afternoon at the Burger Stop.

After the woman said no, Hernandez allegedly drove onto the sidewalk, through bushes and into the restaurant parking lot, narrowly missing the woman. "Stacy Will You Marry Me" was on the car's back window.

He was later picked up while fleeing on foot.

Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol and drug-free party exclusively for graduating seniors. Time out for Excuses

"Excuses are tools of incompetence that builds monuments of nothingness. Those who use them seldom amount to anything." How many of you do or know people that always making excuses about something? Why you were late, why you didn't do your homework, why you did what you did. Excuses just because you can. Excuse means: To try to remove blame; to make apology for. If we do what we are suppose to do the first time, then we wouldn't have to make excuses for our actions. It is time out for excuses. We are getting to old to lie to each other. We all  have been lied to enough so why must we lie to ourselves? Put away the excuses and tell what you really feel. Tell the reason why you were late (because you were somewhere running your mouth and just didn't want to come back) or you didn't do your homework because you forgot, didn't know how or just wasn't going to do it. Life is short and its time to enjoy it. They say it take more out of you to come up with an excuse then it would to just tell the truth in the first place. WHAT A WASTE

Imagine this. You are out at one of the hottest night spots in the city, the music is pumping, the drinks are flowing and you get approached by the most attractive man there (or so you thought). His skin is smooth, smile is flawless, the right height and perfect build, with the alluring smell of Clive Christian, hair nicely cut, beard and mustache freshly groomed and decent conversation so far. Then he turns around to get you a drink and he almost trips and falls because his pants are sagging. Ladies, I hated to build you up for such disappointment, but it happened to me. You should have seen the look on my face. My first thought was “Aren’t you too old to be sagging your pants?” But, I don’t like to see sagging pants on anybody. What a waste. I was so turned off that I didn’t even wait around for the drink.
Let me be the first to say that I am a huge fan of fashion and I am very open to new styles and trends, but I am definitely NOT a fan of sagging pants. I cannot think of a more unattractive way to present your self and wear you clothes. I don’t care how much money you spend on your clothes as long as they look nice, but why spend money on designer labels such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Sean Jean, Ralph Lauren, Christian Audigier and True Religion if you are only going to take away from the design by sagging? You don’t have to wear skinny jeans because I am not a fan of men wearing those either, but you will definitely look more polished and attractive when your clothes fit you properly.
It has really gotten out of hand over the years. It started out with the “baggy look” to people being able to see these “saggers” entire boxer shorts. To make it even crazier, they are actually wearing a belt, so it’s not like there is not way to keep the pants up. I’m so tired of being out and walking behind a guy that is constantly pulling up his sagging pants. Some of them even have the nerve to make the belt tight enough so that the waists of the pants stay right below the buttocks. What is the point?

SO YOU REPPING PRISON??

HOW IT ALL GOT STARTED

As it turns out, this trend of “sagging” has been around for a long time and started in the prison system. Here are two reasons that I found out why it started there:

1. Prisoners are not allowed to have belts or shoestrings in prison for fear of danger to self and/or other inmates, so their pants would tend to sag after losing weight or just ill-fitted pants.
2. It was a code or invitation for other homosexual inmates to be able to recognize each other.

Lets keep it real. If it is anything associated with being in prison, how positive can it be? It does not look good on children or adults no matter what the setting or occasion is.
It seemed as though people had stop making a big issue out of it until this year when a 62-year-old civil rights leader by the name of General Larry Platt auditioned on the popular talent show American Idol when he performed a song he wrote called, Pants On The Ground. Although, he was too old to make the cut, the song turned out to be a huge hit and he was invited back on the show for the American Idol Finale. So with all of this being said, Guys stop looking like a fool with your pants on the ground.

Saggin' because.....

Good Morning Sunshine! I hope you are well! Its Wednesday so that means we half way through the week. As I have been out and about and just sitting looking the question comes to me, WHAT'S THE PURPOSE? Why do some many guys sag their pants? Do they think its sexy? Do they think its a turn on for women? Do they think it makes them a man? I asked the question to my friend and asked him was he a man? He got offend by me questioning him being a man and I let him know a MAN don't sag his pants. He shut up! Point was taking. So I ask you, why do you sag your pants? Its not cute! Its not sexy! Its rude and disrespectful. Sagging is something that was down in prison because prisoners was not allowed to have belts or shoestrings. Rappers do because they trying to sale something that they are not. If you catch them doing busy or outside of the "spotlight" their pants are pulled up and look very professional. Of course you have the ones that want to keep the "bad" rep that they have to the world. I just want to know your views and thoughts on sagging. Good Morning Sunshine! Happy Homecoming Week! Well I should say Good Night since today is pajama day. Have you ever heard the phrase, "dig one ditch you better did two because the trap you set for me just may be for you." As we were going to Elizabeth City yesterday, my mom put on a CD of a sermon in and as I listened to this sermon, it started making me think. The one thing that was said that stuck with me was that he said I rather be a bridge builder than a ditch digger at least I will be on top. So just a bit of advice, be a bridge builder. Put down your shovel and become a bridge builder. You don't want to dig your own ditch.

Attitude of Gratitude

Have you ever took things for granted? Have you ever took a person kindness for a weakness? Do you expect people to just do something because they are "suppose to"? I was having a talk with a friend of mines last night about some things that was going on in their life and I told them that they control their destiny. So as I was driving home last night, I thought about you all. Most of you are seniors and the rest are soon to be. Its time for you to make decisions that will affect the rest of  your life. Sometime instead of being on FB or My Space, how about get a head start on college. Create and fill out completely your CFNC account. Get a jump start on some work or a project that you know you have coming up.  Each group has been giving an organization and a poster board. I want you to do research on your organization. You need to give me all the “good stuff” on your org. When, where, how old, how many members, colors, mascot, motto if you can find it and anything else that you think would be good information to make me interested in joining your organization. Have fun with it. Decorate your poster to be catchy to the eye. Good Luck!

But what is love really? We tell people that we love them. We tell that special guy/girl that we are so in love with them and no one else can every change that. But are we truly in love? Love can be dangerous depending on how you use it. As I tweeted earlier, love is like a loaded shotgun; be careful how you handle it. You just may get shot. As a 30yr old woman I can say that I have been in love and I have had my share of what I thought was love. You live and learn, but we die and forget it all. Now I am curious to know as high school juniors and seniors, how do you define love? Me, personally, believe that this is the best definition of love: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. Good Tuesday Morning Sunshine! Most of us (including me) have a Facebook account. I don't go on mines as much as some of you, but when I do all I see is drama. Why is it? Is it necessary to air out all your dirty laundry? Do anyone think about what the put on FB now may come back an haunt you in later in life? I'm not knocking the use of facebook at all. I just wish people would think about what they put on there before they hit post. If you look at all the different scandals that are taking place, you always hear that there are pics on Facebook, Myspace, or somewhere on the web. Remember 9/11

I remember when the attack on the Ground Zero happened. I thought it was a movie. I was at ECSU and I woke up to it on TV (since I slept with the TV on). I got up and it was on in the living room as well. I got dressed and went to work study in Coach James office. He was watching it too. This movie must be a great one that everyone is watching I thought, because it was on in the cafe and the Viking Den when I walked by to go to the gym. I watched it for a lil while then turned the channel. It was on all the channels I turned to. I came to the realization that APRIL THIS IS NOT A MOVIE! Coach came in an was asking me what was going on so far and filled me in on what I missed. I was totally in shock. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Classes were canceled and campus became very quiet. Today, 9 years later, we remember those who died and gave their lives for us. Who made sacrifices to save those who was wounded and some even scarified their on life for others. In Memory of  9/11

What A Week!

It may have been a 4day work week but it has been a rough one. Wednesday, I lost it and just snapped on anyone who rubbed me the wrong way. Thursday we were getting closer to the equator with the heat. But through it all, we have made it to Friday!

 First off, let me apologize for my attitude and temper on Wednesday. You all didn't do anything to me and I was very rude for that I want to say I'm sorry! So thank you for not looking at me in an evil way and thinking of me as a mean grouchy lady. You would check on me and ask me if I was OK and if I was going to be OK. So thank you for caring. I couldn't have asked for better students.

Tomorrow is the beginning of the weekend. Enjoy your weekend, the game, and the Fair! Please be safe in all you do. Get some rest and come back Monday ready to grind. Sending Love! Can't end without sending love to 79 and the laDies. Have a great game and Good Cheer!

As the day has came to a close, I am so happy to have all of you in my class. You are my shining stars and I know things with us will be good. I was so happy to see how well you all were working.
