I read a tweet this morning that made me think. The tweet said something a lot of adults tend to do young people. As an adult, we want our children to do better then we did and we sometimes push them to hard. We don't see what they have done. All we ever see is what they should've, could've, done better and not the good in what they have already done to get to where they are. So on behalf of all the adults, I want to say this....
We are proud of you for:
- Giving it your best
- Being an excellent student
- Going the distance
- Being a great parent
- Still standing strong through all the things that life puts you through
- For not giving up
- Messing up and admitting that "I messed up and need help fixing it."
- For being you!
(Thanks Asiah :-) )

A lot of students partents never tell them how proud they are of their accomplishments and it causes problems in the long run. Those simple words('I AM PROUD OF YOU') mean so much and it encourages you to try harder & do better !
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said those simple words can mean a lot to some people might change things around a little
ReplyDeleteThis is true. It always appears so easy for people to point out the bad instead of giving them their props. Little words of appreciation mean so much.
ReplyDeleteI agree, hearing your parents say that really means alot.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that Ms. Allen. And those five little words (I.m So Proud Of You) means a whole lot to me. Sometimes I find myself struggling but when my mother say those words to me, I begin thinking about all I have done to get this far. And begin to push myself for the better.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that I have both family and friends who encourage me and constantly tell me that they are proud of me. Sometimes I take something as simple as those words for granted, and I remember that a lot of people are not as lucky as me.
