As I sit in my bed and think about tomorrow, I realize that this time, it is the last time. It is the last time that I will have all of Cyber Island together in one room. This is the last time that I get to say have a great day and see you tomorrow. This is the last time that I can tell KeKe, ChinaRa, and Shauna that we only fight on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and love each other on Tuesday and Thursday. This is the last time that I will tell Howard to turn down his music because I can hear it down the hall. No more sending Ms. Carroll a message letting her know that Kendal and Chinara are here but working on AP English. No more emails from Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Cloer, Mrs. Milkowhich, and Mr. Q. about AP work. No more trying to get Dock to call in on Tuesday to the Steve Harvey Morning Show to sing. No more wondering if T.T., Aisah, and Aneisha are in the school store and if so what are they selling. It the last time asking Lamar if he okay and did he eat because I didn't want him sick. My Tinker Bell bringing me a green tea. This is the last time that we watch movies and wish people would stop knocking on the door so we can watch it in peace. This is the last time we say "Spell check" when someone comes to the door.
As this year ends and my eyes feel with tears, I must say it has been a great time with the Class of 2013. From "Love on Top" with Beyonce, Blue Ivey, and many other celebrities for Homecoming Week, to worrying if I was doing too much while carrying Peanut. To 12-20-2012 and the arrival of Peanut to couldn't wait to be dismissed for Christmas Break to come see Peanut at the hospital. I can't forget the plan we had if I went into labor at school and how we were getting to the hospital. (Stealing a bus so everyone could be there and Ms. Fobbs was going to drive.) The 911 crew (Kendal, Cooper, KeKe) was always ready to go and had the plan memorized. I must say, I couldn't have asked for a better crew to take care of me and my precious package. Almost 6months later my Mommy still tells people how “my "babies" came by the hospital to see us. She must be doing something right because they were right there.” I could never repay you for that. The surprise birthday party and Cooper, Asiah,
Kendal and CiCi all jumped up in unison. Who could forget Senior week and the Senior Citizens doing the Harlem Shake and we having Hawaiian Day on a very cold Friday in February. Senior Trip to Florida and that phone call on that Friday that meant the world to me. All the souvenirs, just to let me know that we were thought of. The movies that I watch will never have the same meaning. (Madagascar 3, Hoodwink Too, Meet the Robinson, Planet of the Apes and the list goes on.)
This time, as I prepare to say Farewell, it’s for good. I say Good Bye to you as a Viking of Northwest Halifax High School. This time, it is the last time you will walk out of ECU Room 1001 and hear me say "Have a good day and I Love You! This may be the last time that you hear those things as a student of Northwest Halifax but it will never be the last time I say these words to you. Always know that I am so proud of you. Whether you are going to HCC, UNC, WSSU, ECSU, ECU, FSU, NCAT, NCCU, Armed Forces, HU, even BYU (Backyard University), I am so proud of you. I wish you the best in all that you do and know you will do your best because you are the best. In the famous words of Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” I Love You!
Forever in my heart,
