This paragraph speaks to me as well. The paragraph teaches all a lesson about not judging or assuming you're always right when sometimes you can be wrong. It's always best to look at things from all angles before forming an opinion. What you see is always different from someone else's point of view. I believe that we all should try to understand the other person's point of view before jumping to conclusions. The paragraph is a powerful way to explain this because it seems silly and simple, but it has a much more deeper meaning.
i guess in my understandings that most people dont stop and think, they asume the obvious when theres more two it they seen the black side so they asumed the whole thing was black but not one stoped and thought maybe the other side is different. So what i get out of it is people should leave their mind more open
"Don't tell somebody they're wrong until you've seen things from their point of view." This statement speaks to me as well. There has been many situations where a person only looks from their point of view and not the other. People don't look or think outside the box. People go off of what they see.
I can understand what he is trying you say. Just because you see a situation one way, doesn't mean its the right way or the only way. you have to look at the situation as if it has a good and a bad side to it. When you look at the situation as having one way, you can closing your mind, and not allowing the other possibilities to come to mind. Let the possibilities come to mind and think of all the different sides of the situation.
This scenario gives a very clear example of the meaning it's trying to get across.I do agree with the professor about not telling someone they are wrong until u can see it from their veiw point. After seeing it from their veiw point, u may understand it more.
The quote speaks to me also. This is so true because before you tell someone that they are wrong, you should consider evaluating their prospective. Everything is not always what it seems.
I can relate to this because people shouldnt tell someone that they aqre wrong until they have seen it for them selves and it alos makes people look at things more carefully than they normally would
My thoughts on this situation is that it is a very unique way to inform people to never tell someone that they're wrong until you see things from their view. I believe that the professor did a great job at proving this situation. It will really teach a good leasson on the quote.
The quote speaks to me too. Its simliar to the quote "Dont judge a book by its cover." and I like how it shows how we all jump to conclusions but, dontlook at others point of view. Everything is not always what you think it is.
I will be like they shouldn't do that. Tell the truth all the time and don't be holding back on anything. Everybody should get advice from the other student's in the classroom
*Speechless* - iLove this quote. Its so true in so many ways. This is now my favoruiite quote. I feel like this quote is saying theres always two parts to every story therefore you cant judge a book by its cover if you dont kno anything about it. You start to assume and when you do thats when everything goes wrong. So always think about everything befor you go to judging.
My reflections on this quote is that it is remarkable. It speaks to the point that everything may not always be as it appears. Sometimes, you may have a valid argument, but the opposing person may too have have some agreeable points. You have to listen to other poeple opinions, because sometimes you judgement maybe clouded or you may not be able to see everything the way everyone else does.
