Good Morning Love! I hope you are well on this Tuesday. I was going through my email and ran across an email that was sent to me. It was a quote from the movie, Kung Fu Panda 2.
"The Soothsayer: Your story may not have such a happy beginning but that doesn't make you who you are, it is the rest of your story, who you choose to be."
Even though this is a child's cartoon, it had a lot of hidden adult meaning. This quote stuck with me from June 12th until today. It made me look over my life and think about all my haters. It made me realize that words are just that....words, but my actions speaks so much louder. When I was in middle school, my class was told that we would never do anything in our life but live off the state. Now I am proud to say that I work for the state! So think of something that you heard and it stuck with you. Tell me what it was and why its important to you. Smile and Keep working on your wings! ~Ms. Allen
It's not really a saying but more of what someone said...
ReplyDeleteWhen someone said "people at Northwest are dumb." I beg to differ i know PLENTY of people whom are currently in college and have graduated from college that came from NWHS. We're very smart people it's just the negatives people look at. They never give us time to prove ourselves and look at the positive things. I KNOW FOR A FACT I WILL BE GRADUATING FROM NWHS and going to college and graduating making my life more successful along with plenty other people. I don't care what anyone has to say about me. I know who I am and I know where i'm going. Therefore no one can ever stop me from doing me, regardless of what they think or say. Them saying that made me stronger and more determined to prove them wrong.
A quote that has stuck out to me throughout these years of highschool is "You get what give. & You give what you get." This really stuck out to me because there are a lot of people that I have come across that wonder why I don't entertain drama & wonder why if people do thimgs to me I don't respond. I am a firm believer that you have to give respect before you get respect. :)
ReplyDeleteSomething that always stuck with me is "No matter how bad my life is , there is always someone doing worse than me". This lets me know that im going 2 be ok and that i am very thankful for all the things that has happened to and for me. I am very blessed :)
ReplyDeleteI was told this qoute by my father "that the apple doesnt fall to far from the tree". the reason it stuck with me because my father played football for college. The thing behind it all he could've made it to the NFL but people do things they regret.
ReplyDeleteA quote that has stuck with me for many years and helped me be a better person "Its better to give rather to recieve"...reason why I feel better knowing I can help a person ...a please and thank you means alot and dats all I expect
ReplyDeleteEvery since I was a little girl all you hear is "you can be whatever you want to be". There's not a person living who hasn't heard those words. After I have grown to realize many things I do believe them. There are so many things that out here in the world and if you want it, you have plenty opportunities to accomplish it. You just have to stay focus and be determined to reach your goals.
ReplyDeleteA quote i always remember is "Practice don't make perfect, Perfect practice make perfect". Its just one thing wrong with this quote is that nobody is perfect but if you keep practicing at something you can be almost perfect.
ReplyDeleteA quote that has always stuck with me is "you reap what you sow". I often heard this phrase and was told that it means you will suffer the consequences of everything you do.
ReplyDeleteI always here people say you can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it.I really believe this because as long as you strive for something you want then in the end it sure will be possible.
ReplyDeleteA quote that I always have kept in my mind is that practice makes perfect.Meaning that anything you want to do in life is possible if you just practice at it. Being great at something does'nt just happen over night it takes practice.
ReplyDelete"The grass isn't always qreener on the other side". Meaning learn to be thankful for what you have. Because once you move forward you can't ALWAYS take two steps backwards to change SIMPLE things!!!
ReplyDeleteA quote that has stuck to me was when my granma tells me "Dont Never Let Anyone Tell You Otherwise or What You Cant Do". I have really grown to believe this statement because I never allow anyone to rule over me or even judge me now-a-days. She has taught me so much in my life and even more now during my situation and I thank her for that and her support.
ReplyDeleteA quote that always stuck with me was "Karma's A B****", my mom would tell me that when I used to come home and cry about how kids used to tease me. But know as I look back in life an see where does people are today. Most of them just made it out of the ninth grade. Others droped out and some worst(not death though- Not that mean) But some do come with satifations.
ReplyDeleteA quote that always stuck with me is "Treat others the way you want to be treated." This always stuck with me because I would never treat anyone any different than I expect and deserve to be treated.
ReplyDeleteSomething I quote on is " I Smile ". Smile through anything that cuts you. People may treat you wrong and call you bad names, but SMILE. You may loose a love one, but SMILE. Your relationship maybe heading in the wrong direction, but keep your head up and SMILE. People might call you any and everything but a child of god, but so what?? SMILE!!!! - I smile everyday, because I'm here. I never let things people say or do to me faze me. I'm a strong, black and young lady & I'm living life to its fullest and loving it. . . I SMILE :)
ReplyDelete- Love ya Ms Allen!
A quote that has stayed with was told to me by my aunt. The quote was to never give up. this quote stuck with me because i used to be always willing to do new things just because i knew i would succeed. But there were a few times where i wasnt too sure of myself because of family situations. Even though i had a lot going on in my home didnt necessarily mean that i still couldnt make up the new cheers i wanted to, or to have 4rbi's per game, or to come in first or second place in track meets. Im glad that she told me never to give up. to this day she is still very supportive of me and i love her very much for this.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to you all. Wow! There are some deep comments. I am pleasantly suprised by the thoughtful comments. Keep up the good work both teacher and students!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote has always been, "If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all." I grew up by this quote and I love it because it's a good way to keep me out of trouble.
