Who should give the punishment?

Good Morning! Hope you are well! So, its been a lot of talk about what happened at Tuesday's game. Everyone wants to point blame at each other but only the people who were involved actually knows the true story. Now my question to you is this, who should give the punishment to the team? Should it be the NCHA (state level)? Should it be the Superintendent of both school systems? Should it be the Halifax Sheriff Department? Should it be the principal of the respected school? Or should it be left up to the Head Coaches, Coach Stewart & Coach Grady? If you don't know what happened, ASK A PLAYER! There is one in each block. (1st: Jorge & Smiley. 3rd: Worm & Ralph. 4th: Eric) I want to know who you feel should give the punishment and your reason for it. This evening, I will post my comment. Sending Sunshine your way! Ms. Allen

  1. I believe the coaches should have the right to chose the punishment of the team. It's not like the fight was purposely started. It was all a big misunderstanding. Therefore, i think the couch should have the main say-so.

  2. I think the head coaches should be the ones who give the punishment. They are responsible for the game and the players conduct, not anybody else.

  3. Tuesdays game was very crazy, I did not know exactly what had happened. All I knew was that our team and weldons team, got to fighting. I believe that their coaches should give the punishment of what happened because, they are in charge of their own teams. Our team may have not handled the situation right but still you got to do what you got to do, and its certainly not fair to our team. Its just a whole misunderstanding to me. I still love NWHS football team though =) !!!

  4. I was there and I dont know exactly what happened. All i know is that Weldon has very poor sportsmanship. I mean just because yall was losing doesnt mean they had to do that! But anyway I still love my team and we still the best :). That will never change yes their actions might have not been appropiate, but at least they acted as a brotherhood! I love the Vikings and they still my brothers. I think that thry coaches should punish them , not take it this far and what not.

  5. Well it really isn't much to say on what our punishment is going to be since they already said we are disqualified from the playoffs

  6. The punishment has already been set by NCHA which I think is the worst punishment we can receive. :(

  7. Yeah I have to agree with D and George. We were only going in to get our brother from what could have left him seriously hurt. We did what we had to do. But the punishment that has been set hurts! Definitely not fair to the seniors that never stopped working hard from the previous season. Well the NCHA got the best of us. Time to reach the goal for conference champs! Bleed blue and gold baby!

  8. I feel that it shouldn't be taken any further than the superintendant level if even that far. What happened happened between the two schools and I think that we could've handled it between ourselves. But, like Jorge, the punishment has already been set by the NCHA..smh. I hope this incident is remember by the football teams of the future and that our mistake will never be repeated by another team here at Northwest. This is Ralpp by the way

  9. I think the coaches should set the punishment since it is their team. The only ones that know what really happened is the team and the coaches so why would the state set the punishment if they don't know what happened.

  10. I dont think it should be any more than the coaches. But the way I see it who ever started it should be unable to play for the rest of the year. Cause what did this solve??...

  11. I feel that the head coaches should deal with the punishment because football is the teaching of brotherhood and they were just doing thier job in showing brotherly love. As for the punishment that they recieve, I feel is unfair.

  12. I believe that the head coaches and the respected school should handle it simplly because it is their team and their situation.

  13. . There has been tension between Northwest and Weldon for a while now. I feel that what happened Tuesday night could've been resolve between the teams. We have some very intelligent football players here at Northwest and also at Weldon. We have some mature, athletic men at Northwest. I know y'all are better than that!! I hope that things get back on track for the Vikings. I know y'all will continue to do well for the team and each other. . CeCee loves y'all :)

  14. I think that the coaches or the principals should've handled the situation because it's their players/students and they should be able to work it out themselves. But the punishment is already set and there is nothing anyone can do about it. So... No Playoffs for Northwest this year. Booooo! :(

  15. I feel like at least the principal should have enforced the punishment. If the principals would have set the punishment then it probably wouldnt have been that bad as it is now. I dont know who to blame or who fault but i wish it wouldnt have happen.

  16. I personally feel that the head coaches should be in charge of the punishment that the teams have to suffer. What has happened was not serious enough to be handled by no one other than the coaches.I still to this day say that it all started because of the score being 26-0 but at the same time Im not a player so I wouldnt know for sure.

  17. Well the punishment has already been giving which I think is very stupid. This is my boys last year playing high school football and they already done took their goal away from them which is the playoffs. They worked to hard and I think they could have came up with a better punishment.

  18. i think that the punishment should have been given by the head coaches of each team. It will be stupid to ask someone to give a punishment that wasnt even there. I think the punishment should be to just sit out there two games and let it be done with. it shouldnt have to be that they have to do community service, cant go to the playoff and still have to sit out two games. I believe that that is too much
