Don't take it for granted

Hello and Happy Monday to you all. Have you ever thought how much the little things mean to you? I didn't realize how important the little things were to me until I was told I couldn't do it. Thursday, my doctor told me that I couldn't lift anything and was on light duty for two weeks. I was like okay, I can handle that. When he told me I couldn't pick up my baby, that's when my world stood still. What you mean I can't pick up my Princess? I was speechless. He did tell me I could hold her. I was a little bit better but still I couldn't pick her up. I was at the house getting ready to wash clothes....that was a no go. I can't even pick up my back pack. The ride to work was even uncomfortable. The little ordinary things that we do on a regular basis has been taking from me. For 2wks, I have been, what feels like, put on punishment. We never realize how important the little things are until they are taking from you. Now I have to wait for someone to get my backpack out the car or to put it in the car. I have to wait for someone to get a pan out for me to cook. I can't even go to buy grocery unless someone goes with me. Be thankful everyday for being allowed to do the little things.

Ms. A

  1. My grandmother has always told me that the little things can be taken from you at the blink of an eye and you won't realize how good you had it til it's gone. That's something that I will always remember. btw, hope you get well soon Ms. Allen <3

  5. You are right. We do take a lot of little things for granted. I do not actually know how it feels to have them stripped directly from you but I do know the struggle that they cause. The same thing happened not long after my sister was born and a lot of her responsibilities were dropped on me. At first I did not want to do them but I was just thankful that I was here and able to do it.

  7. I also understand how irrelevant the small things seem until you don't have them anymore. Going through life without the use of my thumb seriously sucked for an entire week, and that was just something as simple as my thumb.I know it has to be way worse for you. Hope you feel 100% better soon.

  8. Yes, sometimes we do take the little things for granted. I also try to be thankful for everything because my life hasn't been filled with everything I want, but I'm thankful for all the life lessons it has taught me and all the people that have been in my life, good or bad. I make sure that when I pray I thank God for waking me up every morning and for my limbs & everything.

  9. Sometimes we don't realize the smallest things are taking away from us in the snap of a finger. Although we should always appreciate everything and use them wisely, we don't like we should. but i do hope all is well ms. allen.
